E.S.B. & Cambridge Examinations
The diploma award ceremony for last year’s two external English examinations was held on 26th October in the school auditorium. Ms. Pilar González congratulated each and every pupil who received a diploma.
The E.S.B. (English Speaking Board) Examination is mandatory in Primary Four and voluntary in the years to follow. By obliging the pupils to do this examination, we guarantee an objective and international assessment of the oral English level. Each pupil prepares a topic in his / her interest, presents it before a small group of peers and then converses on it with a British examiner. Reading aloud is also assessed, as well as each pupil’s interaction, of course, with the other presentations.
The Cambridge Examination is voluntary from Primary Four on. Apart from the oral aspect, it incorporates reading and writing aspects.
Every year, the pupils are delighted and proud to receive the diplomas they worked hard for, on their way down the road of learning English.
La ceremonia de entrega de los diplomas de los exámenes de inglés del año pasado se celebró el 26 de octubre 2004 en la sala de actos. Pilar González felicitó a cada alumno que recibió su(s) diploma(s).
El examen del E.S.B. (English Speaking Board) es obligatorio en 4º de Primaria y voluntario en los años siguientes. Obligando a los alumnos a hacer este examen, garantizamos una evaluación objetiva e internacional del nivel oral en inglés. Cada alumno/a prepara un tema que le interesa, para luego presentarlo a un grupo reducido de compañeros y conversar sobre ello delante de un examinador inglés. También cuenta la expresión oral leyendo en voz alta y, por supuesto, la interacción con los demás presentaciones de los compañeros.
El examen Cambridge es voluntario a partir de 4º de Primaria. Aparte del aspecto oral, también incorpora aspectos de lectura y escritura.
Cada año, los alumnos se alegran mucho al recibir su(s) diploma(s), orgullosos de sus esfuerzos en su camino hacia el aprendizaje de inglés.
